Meet Mandee Sharp
Designer, Innovator, and Advocate for Inclusive Design
With over a decade of experience, Mandee Sharp founded Laurelwood Interiors in 2022 with a clear goal in mind—to create spaces that inspire, uplift, and reflect the unique stories of the people who live in them. Mandee’s design philosophy is simple: every home should be as functional as it is beautiful. Her expertise lies in seamlessly blending practicality and elegance, ensuring her designs cater to the real-life needs of her clients while remaining visually stunning.
Since 2014, Mandee has worked on over a thousand design projects, ranging from cozy family homes to large-scale remodels. This wealth of experience has shaped her approach, leading her to become an Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) and a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP)—credentials that distinguish her in the world of interior design. Specializing in accessible and barrier-free design, Mandee is passionate about creating spaces that accommodate people of all abilities without compromising on style.

Mandee’s approach to design is deeply personal. Having grown up with family members facing significant health challenges, including her mother and grandmother, she learned early on how essential accessibility and functionality are in everyday life. This personal experience has shaped her career, as she uses her expertise to create barrier-free, inclusive designs that prioritize comfort and ease of living.
Her clients—like Anne, a passionate cook who needed a functional kitchen to entertain guests while also accommodating her husband, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s—appreciate not only Mandee’s design skills but also her empathy and understanding of their unique needs. As an educator and lifelong learner, Laurel taught Mandee the importance of growth, compassion, and resilience.
